Wow, how things have changed since Thanksgiving weekend of 2010, when having decided there was too much -retirement in my semi-retirement in Indianola WA, I returned to Oregon.
Since then, I've gone back to work, had a bout with prostate cancer in 2017 (in remission thanks to IMRT treatment), retired fully when the pandemic hit, married lovely Anne Jaqua in September 2020, and live in our home in the woods of SW Portland, where Anne's been since 1976. One of our biggest current projects is saving the forested part of our 2-1/2 acres as a critical watershed for nearby Tryon Creek Park.
Between us, Anne and I have 8 kids (5 of mine, 3 of hers), 16 grandkids (8 + 8), and my 3 great-grandkids, and a big, loveable, Northern Inuit dog. Life has been pretty quiet since the onset of Covid, but we occasionally get away to our condo at Black Butte Ranch, in Central Oregon, and hope to broaden our travel horizons in the near future. |
