If these besuited Hilltopper sportsmen are indeed cavorting in 1914, the year in which The Great War started in Europe, it may be that one or more of them went to France with General John Pershing's troops in 1917 or 1918. The school building must be to the left of the field. It looks as if there's also some track activity or, at least, paraphernalia, on the field. The guy in the foreground appears to have three steeds to himself. A great many horses went with Pershing, too.
