Who Gave Their Lives In Vietnam
Tommie Lunn
SPC 4th Class - U SU Army
Class of 1965
Died: May 3, 1967
Identified as Tommie Lynn in the '65 Grizzly, he was called Tommie Lunn in the '65 commencement program, almost invariably the more reliable source. The Seattle Times also identified him as Lunn, so we think Lunn is correct. We'd appreciate receiving information about Tommie from anyone who knew him.
Below we quote an article from the Jan 14, 1968, issue
of the Seattle Times.
Thanks to Darilee Bednar of the Faces from the Wall Web site for sending us the
information on Tommie Lunn.
"Honored: The South Vietnamese Military Merit Medal and Gallantry Cross with Palm have been awarded posthumously to Army Specialist 4th class Tommie R. Lunn, a 1965 Queen Anne High School Graduate. The son of Army Sgt. 1st Class and Mrs. Ralph A. Lunn also has been awarded the Bronze Star, Distinguished Flying Cross and other medals. He was wounded fatally 3 May 1967. Sergeant Lunn, his father, is stationed at Fort Lewis."
